Top 5 Looks from the 2015 Met Gala

By: Shannon Moody, NYC Editor

The Met Gala, aka the Met Ball, is always a highlight for those involved and enamored with fashion. Each year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art puts on a major fashion exhibit, with an underlying theme for the Met Ball. This year, the exhibit was entitled “China: Through the Looking Glass.” Thus, the theme for this year’s ensembles were Chinese fashion inspirations. Check out my top 5 picks!

Rosie Huntington-Whitely

Rosie is shimmering & radiant in this molten Atelier Versace dress with an up-to-there slit and various cutouts.

She accessorized well with Anita Ko earrings and rings.

Jennifer Lopez

This is a gown that looks great from any angle! A scaly creature is adorned on a flame-licked Versace dress, teamed with a Swarovski clutch and baubles by Sutra, Ivy, Harry Kotlar, and Jack Vartanian.

Joan Smalls

This is such a sexy number for Joan, but eye-catching in the very best way, a Peter Dundas for Roberto Cavalli semi-sheer purple lace dress with cutouts.

Her beauty look is just as great, a mix of Pure Color Gelée Powder Eyeshadow in Cyber Magenta and Pure Color Envy Eyeshadow Palette in Currant Desire, from Estee Lauder.

Caroline Trentini

This is an A+ look, sculpted and sensational — a sheer black Versace gown.
Kudos to this phenomenal glam squad — Lisa Houghton for makeup, David Colvin for hair, as well as Esther Langham.

Selena Gomez

Selena looks stunning in this custom, silk crepe, Vera Wang creation, complete with a V-neck bra top, a plunging open back, and Chinese tassel accents.

And there is no way can you overlook this mesmerizing floral updo, created by Jake Bailey and  Renato Campora for Moroccanoil.
