Bellus Magazine (BM): How long have you been acting?
Mikaela Hoover (MH): I was putting on my own plays and making my parents watch me as long as I can

BM: Tell us about the short film “Hide and Seek?

MH: It's very creepy! It's about a teenage girl who despises her stepmom so much she
starts to suspect she's a witch. It was my first time playing a "mom" and was
very different from anything I've ever done. I am a huge horror movie fan so
when I found out Peter Safran who produced "The Conjuring" was producing "Hide &
Seek" I didn't care what role I played I just needed to be a part of it 🙂

BM: Where can we see this film once it comes out?
MH: It will be submitted for all the major film festivals this year 🙂 The director
Carlos Torrens is really big in Spain so I'm sure it will hit all the festivals
there first.

BM: What can you tell us about the new pilot you shot?
MH: It's called "Cuz Bros" it's a pilot for CBS and it's directed by Pamela Fryman
who is the brilliant director behind the show "How I Met Your Mother" Its about
a bachelor sports news caster (Geoff Stultz) whose world is turned upside down
when his cousin (Parker Young) shows up unexpectedly

BM: What advice can you give to the other aspiring artist out there?
MH: If you don't have thick skin get it fast. There is so much rejection in this
business you have to learn to be tough.
