If you do not know the name Ricky Jarman yet, don’t fret, you will soon! Ricky is a multi-faceted, burgeoning talent – a singer/songwriter, actor, model, and dancer. In recently chatting with this young artist, here is what I’ve learned and what I’m now proud to share with the Bellus Magazine readers!

Ricky originally hails from the south, good ole’ NC in fact. But he is currently in NYC, hard at work, making sure his lofty career aspirations become a reality. One of Ricky’s main pursuits has been with his music, taking significant strides over the past 2 years, always striving to go bigger and better. And the next step is the release of his debut album!!
He hopes to release his first album later this year, taking the time creatively to produce his best work for his fans. There are a lot of heavy hitters in the industry that will be lending their expertise to this album – Femdouble, Grammy producer based in LA; Sam Harmonix, a producer who has worked with huge names like Timbaland and Jim Bean; J.D. Leonard, a talented songwriter who has recently worked with Bonnie Tyler and several up and comers on the Nashville scene; and Grammy songwriter M-Bass who is based in Atlanta, GA.

Ricky is constantly performing. He even has some upcoming performances in NYC-based festivals and with various charity affiliations. Keep up with him on social media for future performance dates – Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Ricky is truly a dynamic threat, offering more in addition to his music – dancing, modeling, and acting.

With Ricky’s exposure to acting and modeling, and even with his music, fashion was an inevitable passion. Ricky sees that fashion and music go hand in hand, with such a huge overlap and interplay. He says “Fashion is a colorful and trendy way of representing different styles of music.” In addition, Ricky also said that “as an artist, you always want the sound to be good, but when it comes to growing as a brand, you also want to look good. This is where fashion comes in. Whether one’s fashion sense is good or bad is a matter of opinion. But fashion in general, when it comes to music, is inevitable, as artists want to be more relatable.” His personal sense of style is more classic, but with touches of urban influences. The fashion icons in the music industry that he personally looks up to are Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, and Nick Jonas.

I hope you’ve thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Ricky Jarman. STAY TUNED!! More from this amazing guy is coming, and again, make sure to Follow him on Instagram and Twitter, as well as to Like his Facebook page!

The images for this feature were shot at The Hit Mill Recording Studio in Cliffside Park, NJ. This is truly a state of the art studio and was the perfect choice for the photoshoot. We felt right at home thanks to studio owners Alex Morelli and Rony D.! I’m sure any recording artist would too feel the same in such a welcoming and relaxed environment. And WOW, the perks, endless — free inside garage parking, big screen TV , free wifi throughout the studio, mini fridge, microwave and a fully stocked mini bar. Clients that rent full day blocks can also utilize the gym, shower, rooftop pool and notorious skydeck with an exceptional NYC skyline view. Huge artists have recorded here including Fabolous & Mario Winans.
As you can see, the clothing Ricky is donning stems from 2 European brands — Codice and Alberto Pants. The looks were pulled from Schuyler4 Showroom, which is the exclusive U.S. distributor for these brands. Schuyler also hosts 2 other European brands, Haupt and Carl Gross. These items are sold in the finest men’s specialty stores nationwide. The target customer is a successful man with fashion sensibility, who appreciates modern looks with classic influences, and demands fine quality and supreme fit.
When it comes to Alberto Pants, Ricky loved the great fit and that the pants were not binding or stiff. He also appreciated the fabric choice of a stretch material. And then with Codice, he was impressed by the dynamic fabrics, great colors, and eye-catching outerwear.
