Bellus Magazine (BM): How long have you been acting?
Nathan Parsons (NP): I guess I started in elementary school doing little class plays but I didn’t get serious about this ad a career until middle school.
BM: Tell us about your character on “True Blood”
NP: James is a vampire who was turned sometime in the 70’s. We actually first met him in season 6 when the role was played by Luke Grimes. This year we finally get a chance to learn more about him. You’ll just have to toon in and see!
BM: What is it like working with the cast of True Blood?
NP: It’s an honor. This is such a wonderful cast who’ve been together for years. Being able to work with them and learn from them is a blessing.
BM: Tell us about your character on “The Originals”
NP: Jackson is a werewolf. But not just any werewolf. He’s the alpha of his pack and is trying desperately to save them after the Vampires essentially wiped em out.
BM: What is next for you?
NP: As of now I’m just finishing up true blood then come August hopefully I’ll be heading back to Atlanta for “The Originals.” Otherwise I’m up for whatever comes my way!
BM: What advice can you give other aspiring artist out there?
NP: Believe in yourself. And understand that it requires a lot of hard work. This isn’t an easy industry. It will push you, test you, try to break you but if you stay true to yourself you can survive it.
