Bellus Magazine (BM): How long have you been acting?
MURIELLE TELIO (MT): I started acting in plays in school at a younger age, but it was more of a passion at the time. It didn’t become a career until I moved to Los Angeles.
BM: What inspired you to become and actress ?
MT: To answer this as simply as I can, the magic of movies. I love the energy when a film is about to start. I love helping people escape their realities.
BM: What has been your favorite project you have worked on?
MT: I love all of the projects I work on. I take something different from each of them.
BM: What has been your most awkward moment behind the camera?
MT: Haha, that’s a hard one. I plead the Fifth.
BM: What was it like getting to work on the movie “The Nice Guys”?
MT: It was really a huge learning experience. When you dream of becoming an actress as a child, names pop into mind of who you would love to act in a film with. When that happens, it’s surreal. It’s like wow I’m on the right path.
BM: Whats the most valuable lesson you have learned as an actress?
MT: Don’t take things personally.
BM: What advice can you give to other aspiring actors out there?
MT: Don’t give up.
BM: What would you say is your favorite movie?
MT: Closer. It is the single most beautiful film about life. I would watch it every other week growing up. It’s one of those films I enjoy watching alone.
BM: What actors inspire you as an actress?
MT: There are so many exquisitely talented actors out there. I’ve always been a huge fan of Nicole Kidman.
BM: Bellus is latin for beauty. What is your definition of beauty?
MT: Beauty is feeling comfortable in your own skin. It’s all about the eyes.
BM: Where can you fans go to follow you so they can stay up to date on your journey?
MT: Well, I’ve never been a huge social media person, but I do have an Instagram and a Facebook page. I’ve also recently started a Twitter, still working on trying to figure it out.
