Korina Emmerich was a recent contestant on season 13 of Lifetime’s hit competitive reality show Project Runway. She came in 6th place with a brutal elimination right before the finale. However, Korina quickly bounced back, re-invigorating her dynamic brand EMMERICH NY and being invited by Brand Assembly to design pieces that would be sold at Lord & Taylor. With these significant strides, she is clearly proving that a Project Runway win was not needed to dictate her success.
Designer Korina Emmerich
Brand Assembly is a concept shop at Lord & Taylor, featuring a curated group of advanced contemporary designers. Their core mission is to nurture and elevate emerging designers, which is exactly what Emmerich is. She is a young talent and this is all just the beginning for her. I have no doubts that her amazing design talent and work will continue to shine on! Lord & Taylor and Charlotte Groeneveld of The Fashion Guitar joined together to host an in-store event this past Wednesday, March 25th, celebrating Brand Assembly’s current Spring pieces.
Korina’s afterparty for the collaborative launch was at Jeromes, located in the lower east side of NY, and was definitely the place to be that same Wednesday evening. She was beaming from ear to ear, radiating such beauty and exuding such confidence. You could clearly see she was passionate about the pieces and proud of herself for a job well done. And she should feel nothing less than this as her work here was top notch, very hip, cool, and edgy. Check out some various images from the fashionably fun party!

It was so surreal, very thrilling to meet Korina in person, as well as seeing so many of her stunning pieces up close and personal. She has such strengths as a designer, working so well with leather, creating such bold outerwear pieces, really taking her culturally infused pieces and making modern looks that so many women would love to wear!
