“Here I Come,” the latest buzz track from “IN MY FEELINGS,” is quickly looking like a breakout hit for Jackson, exploding previous numbers from all of his prior video releases. The track’s racy companion video premiered late last month at BOSSIP and soon reaped online attention from VIBE, XXL, and The Source, which praised its “captivating vocals and one of the more mature plots we’ve seen,” noting, “You should definitely make checking out ‘Here I Come’ a priority.” “Here I Come” is streaming now at Jackson’s official YouTube channel.
Rich with lush R&B ballads and high-energy hip-hop bangers, “IN MY FEELINGS” marks Jackson’s most personal release thus far. Seamlessly sequenced, the mixtape displays the 19-year-old Jackson’s remarkably diverse talents on such tracks as “One She Callin’ (Feat. Iyn Jay)” and the show-stopping “Right Enough.” “IN MY FEELINGS” has already spawned a series of smash single/videos, including “Rock Wit Me (Feat. IAMSU!),” “Like I Do,” and “Bang Bang (Feat. Kevin Gates),” the latter approaching 1.5 million individual views at Jackson’s official YouTube channel.
“IN MY FEELINGS” has already been applauded in a wide range of online outlets, with VIBE noting, “(Trevor) Jackson is ready to make you remember his name.” “The mature, enigmatic ‘IN MY FEELINGS’ imagines Jackson as a purveyor of traditional R&B,” declared The Source, “with the genre-bending 2010’s twist that has placed Ty Dolla $ign and Trigga Trey Songz at the forefront.”
